Don’t waste your energy looking for gas, electrical and plumbing training anywhere else! Based in Ham Lane, Kingswinford, Business Skills’ Energy Training Centre is one of the region’s leading gas, electrical, plumbing and renewable technologies training and assessment centres in the West Midlands.
The centre, which is approved by NICEIC, NET, BPEC, CITB Construction Skills and City & Guilds, is equipped with state of the art training and assessment facilities to offer realistic working environments for all trades and has been selected by the National Skills Academy as a regional hub to deliver training for environmental technologies.

The Team
The teaching team at the Energy Training Centre has over 300 years of collective experience behind them so can offer you skills gained over a number of years and across a wide range of teaching.
Don’t take our word for it. The Energy Training Centre has trained 100s of people over the last year, including apprentices for Connaught’s, FJ Jones, Dudley and Sandwell MBC as well as a large number of independent operatives. In the past, our customers have travelled from as far afield as Carlisle and Exeter for training.
We have recently won a contract to deliver the apprentice scheme for Worcester Bosch – the market leader in domestic heating and hot water systems.
In terms of Gas Training – we wrote the book. One member of staff, John Hazlehurst, has re-written and edited the famous Tolley series of books.
Our Facilities
The Energy Training Centre is based in Ham Lane, Kingswinford in the Black Country and we offer free parking, refreshments and a break out area for relaxation in between classes.
